Bald Workday

There will be a workday on Butler Mountain Bald this Saturday, March 18, starting at 10:00. It’s going to be chilly so bring layers, gloves, etc. We were able to have the Bush Hog work completed about a week ago and it would be nice to rake debris out of the trails and even-out places where the skid steer made piles of dirt. Hard rakes and leaf rakes would be helpful for this work. 

If we have enough hands on deck we may get motivated to cut down a few dying Virginia Pine trees. Chainsaws, loppers, pruners and hand saws are all helpful. We will also continue our fight against the invasive Oriental Bittersweet.  Bring what tools you feel comfortable with and a picnic lunch.  Feel free to contact Ben, Sparrel or Benjamin if you have any questions.
