Fairview Elementary School.

Located just a few miles from the Highlands, Fairview Elementary is just down Hwy 74 towards the Town of Fairview., about 6 miles away. Fairview elementary recently won a National Blue Ribbon Award for academics. See more here.

Co-located with the high school, these two campuses are just down the mountain, about 1.6 miles away.

Western North Carolina has a number of well-regarded educational institutions near Butler Mountain Highlands. Some of the most well-known are Warren Wilson College, The University of North Carolina - Asheville, and Asheville Buncombe Technical Community College
